Finding a job, the 2009 way

James at Big Wheel showed me this site this morning - getmikeajob.com. This is probably one of the most creative ways I’ve seen someone look for a job and he utilizes only social media to do so. What happens? He lands a job just after two months, he shows his expertise in social media and he lands a job that he actually wants. I’ve been there before and the shortest amount of time it took me was four months, the longest, nine. This is a great way to really walk the talk. If you look at Mike’s data just after a few weeks, it’s pretty cool as are his prizes that he’ll give out to that person that helps him land a gig. I could have used some pet sitting and maybe a dinner prepared by his wife had I helped him land that job. I’m sure this St. Louis guy has been the inspiration to many of those that are currently seeking work.
